I am ready to start the process of selling my practice. It's been 43 years since I decided on a new life path. Taking a huge risk and leap of faith from a professional tenured orchestral musician, tuning my French Horn, to a career tuning as many backs as I can and in 1978, chiropractic was new to many. My first adjustment in 1975 was with the dedicated hands of David Singer. He was as powerful an advocate of chiropractic then as he is a motivator and mentor to thousands of chiropractors throughout the years now. His adjustment and encouragement stimulated my successful and fulfilling career.
I clearly remember the shopping center parking lot in Spartanburg, SC, entering gutted out partitioned classrooms that was Sherman College. I must admit, without the benefit of a Google search, I did imagine a campus with grass, students mingling and learning outside but once inside with instructors like Reggie and Irene Gold, Joe Flesia and Easy (Guy) Reikemen to name a few, the philosophy and purpose of what I was about to do was overwhelming. Also, my student mentor Tedd Koren who was the reason I traveled across the seas with a new wife and a few bucks with nothing more than a hope and a prayer.
For a number of reason, I transferred half way through to Life College in Marietta, Georgia further stimulating my desire to not only touch people with my new acquired skills but to educate and reach out to my community so they can follow me and join my journey. I learned a lot just listening to Sid Williams and the docs he brought to DE. Also my friends that transferred to Life from Columbia College of Chiropractic about the same time as I did from Sherman, Drs. Peter Lazarnick, Jim and John DiBlasi who helped pave the path with a little less stress than the blind leading the blind.
Over the years, I presented hundreds of Ergonomic Workshops to corporate Atlanta, Stress and Wellness classes to patients and local venues all culminating in presenting CE classes for state associations, practice building classes during a Parker Seminar when Dr. Karl Parker took the reigns in Vegas and many Pete Fernandez Seminars both here in Atlanta and Orlando. Sounds like a journey down memory lane and I guess it is.
For those as young as I am, these names may also bring fond memories.
SO
I am not interested in selling to a franchise but to a practicing doctor or new Georgia licensed doctor with the funds to purchase a practice. I would also entertain an associate with the intention of eventually moving towards ownership. If interested e-mail me at joel3639@aol.com Please only serious inquires and I will help during the transition phase .. It'll all work out!!!
I intend on reaching out to a broker within a few weeks, so let's make a deal now before broker fees will be involved. You'll be happy you did.
If you know of someone anxious to move to a vibrant Atlanta ready to just turn the key that drives my well oiled office share this with them
