E-mail message this week .. How Much Is It Worth

Chiropractic business has evolved over time especially as the general public began appreciating our role. When I graduated many years ago introverted doctors had little resources to break free of their poverty consciousness or unforgiving fear of achieving while arming themselves with the confidence to create an outstanding practice. We strived to pick new patients like fruits off a tree, promoting from within and networking to build a stronger base with ethical treatment plans laying out the costs for patients to benefit from our knowledge and skills utilizing all the tools we felt comfortable using

Depending where your office is located, you may have an abundance of chiropractors within a specific area or a sparse amount making your office unique. Atlanta, where I am located is saturated with DC’s with Life University around the corner, many docs like me after graduation hung around establishing a strong foothold within the metro area. So, to stand out and be a beacon within the community creative networking and an awareness of the community tone was most important. Some doctors reviewed their training and decided that some extra hours learning new and exciting adjusting techniques was the answer while others branched out utilizing nutrition, rehabilitation and a variety of adjunctive possibilities all to help their community.

This brings me to the matter of money. How much is an adjustment worth? How much would someone pay for freedom of chronic pain or to increase their physical performance and how much would people pay to find answers to chronic ailments they continually are searching for. In a world of reason, there would be no limit.

If you the doctor along with educated and enthusiastic staff and lots of positive outcomes were to arm yourself with the confidence that you had their answers, that you could pave their way for a healthier and more productive future and you had little fear to tell the chiropractic story you would find strong compliance and a healthy successful and thriving business. What would you do to make it happen?

Money is just an indicator of success but to achieve it, like a garden, it must be planted, cultivated, nurtured and maintained. It takes time, energy, resources and strong common and business sense. So, rather than me providing a specific number of worth, take a few moments, trace back the time from graduation until today and consider if it was all worth it.
