Enthusiasm is often an overrated and underused word. Overrated if used incorrectly or within the wrong context wasting of a powerful concept. Instead of expressing excitement at achieving goals, excited to be part of a great movement or being overwhelmed with glee to step up and change lives as a chiropractor, you instead place the enthusiasm towards tangent roads such as finances, vacations, sports and various social venues. Underused because if the direction was targeted and focused toward professional achievement, reaching practice goals, establishing a strong foundation with broad goal oriented enthusiasm for each staff and patient member, excitement for vacations, sports, social venues would be a positive result of increased professional finances created via a solid practice, a self sufficient practice a practice that both accumulates and profits from every working day.

Enthusiasm must be your daily mantra but only if believed. Not contrived or a deception to what you conceive as real. Believe that each day is a new beginning, a means to correct yesterday’s wrongs and a better attempt to finally follow advice you received yesterday or implement ideas that you were too timid to do before. Be enthusiastic that others need to hear your message and that your knowledge and skills are life saving, life altering to many, far too many to avoid going outside your safety net. Look in the eyes of your staff, those that carry the burden of success with you, are they aflame with excitement. Most of you reading this know the answer is NO! Where do they get their knowledge, their skills, their beliefs? Which wells of knowledge did they go to carry their bucket of gifts to share with patients? Look in the mirror folks, it’s you sharing your enthusiasm, if any, it’s you they received their knowledge or reinforced if they attend classes, it is you they watch daily and tap into, to encompass office demeanor and mood. Today is a new day to start to change the mood, either continue with your success as part of your daily journey or jump start a new upward trend if you need a boost.

Be enthusiastic, it is contagious
