Seems reasonable to have some healthcare provider monitoring the movement of these vertebrae and being assured any pressure bearing on these nerves are minimal at best. Chiropractors call this pressure a subluxation.
During my 47 years of active practice, I've adjusted thousands of patients and witnessed miraculous results. This is not to say that chiropractic has all the answers, no healthcare team member does, but when we work together, you, our patients, benefit the most. The Thoracic Spine .. Mid Back
The middle back, vertebrae between the shoulder, protect the celiac plexus, which are a group of nerves flowing to the digestive system. The upper portion flows to the heart and lungs and the ribs allow breathing, so it is a vital spinal region and since we use arms for a multitude of activities, the area is vulnerable to physical tension and subluxations. The Lumbar Spine .. Low Back
The lower back consists of five vertebrae and are the largest bones of the spine. Wear and tear as we age is the culprit creating chronic pain as well as reduced function. Unfortunately for many, lower back pain is the most common reason people reach out to a healthcare provider with a myriad of symptoms most notably disc disorders, leg pain and numbness. Proactive activities such as stretching, exercise, ergonomic and mindfulness throughout the cycle of life helps prevent eventual surgery.
