Stress affects us all. If I surveyed the community the word stress would register as emotional the overwhelming feeling of helplessness or just Stressed (you know what I mean) But stress is more than just emotional, it also relates to elements of physical, chemical, physiological as well as neurological.

Years ago, I presented various stress related classes throughout Atlanta. Physical and Ergonomic stress classes for clerical and labor intensive workplaces. Chemical Stress classes related to Nutrition and Wellness within our office, local workplaces, local churches and even in patient homes with their friends. These classes helped our patients and community understand the chronic dangers of stress and how best to manage it.
Physical and Structural Stress
Wear and tear is part of life. When it affects a joint pain often is the result, but when it affects spinal joints, it may create chronic subluxations pressing on spinal nerves and beside pain may affect the 80% of functional nerves that exit the spine traveling to every organ and system of the body. Less function and various chronic symptoms are often the result
Below you can view the chart outlining spinal nerves
The middle back has a group of nerves called the celiac plexus traveling straight to the digestive system. Wonder why you may have digestive issues and taking medication or Tums doesn't always work, how about reducing stress to this area with chiropractic. That's how I became a chiropractic patient way back in 1972.
Chemical and Environmental Stress
Neurological Stress
As you saw from the spinal chart earlier, every nerve that exits the spinal column ventures toward an organ and therefore pressure on these nerves can affect the performance of these organs relating to a myriad of symptoms that most folks run to the medical world for answers and relief. If the wiring is off, a subluxation, it makes sense to reduce the pressure to it, the chiropractic adjustment. Chiropractic care is so much more than a answer for pain. We call our office the Progressive Health Center and hope you consider a proactive approach towards wellness first by maintaining your adjustments with monthly "tune-ups" as well as having your family checked as well.
This Is Why I Love What I Do and Why I Am a Chiropractor

By The Way: Health and Wellness also require accountability. As Chiropractors we manage structural stress and often assist with adjunctive programs including nutrition, rehabilitation and often act as a bartender or taxi driver helping with a personal and/or emotional crisis that tag along. I have found that a referral to a Health Coach has helped many patients attempting to change their life around with weight, chronic health issues etc. We can do so much in the office but a patient needing hand holding and guidance will benefit greatly from a coach. I recommend www.leahgwellness.com She is compassionate, empathetic and knowledgeable. Sessions are remote so patients worldwide can benefit.
