Get Your Practice Ready For The New Year

I should have written and sent this holiday message last month but if you are creative and find that the holiday season a joyful time to share with your patients, community and staff than below are some further ideas. Nothing earth shattering but if it sparks some energy into your practice than better late than never. You can always contact me at: joel3639@aol.com

The next few weeks will be busy for consumers as well as our patients. Many look for shopping deals as well as plan for vacations to celebrate Chanukah, Christmas and the New Year. The next few weeks should be busy for your office as well. Rather than finding a dip in patient volume, prepare for a boost towards and into the New Year.

Hopefully this e-mail will be read by energetic proactive doctors with dedicated staff reaching office goals and if bonuses were offered are met. The alternative are doctors who expect their office to grow by wishing patients in rather than having a plan throughout the year.

When I began my practice, the game was convincing my community the value chiropractic care. Our honored profession was less understood and reaching out with talks, health fairs, postural screenings and office programs as well as holiday or quarterly promotions was necessary to get the ball rolling. Doctors who were successful continued with these programs as well as being energetic telling the chiropractic story to their patients asking for referrals and reaching out to their professional community for medical and attorney referrals as well.  Others less fortunate waded in a huge pool of potential patients drifting along at a pace that may have been acceptable but the potential for more was readily available.

If you are creative and have a great team that you can rely on, I recommend a quick staff meeting to see how you can energize the next few weeks into a winter wonderland of new patients for 2026. If your team is ready or managing a few ideas with just one staff member, then gather the data necessary for your community. Here are a few ideas:

1: See if you can get free press within your community newspaper by offering your office as a collection site for Toys and Food. Contact your local Food Bank or churches. Place a container in your office for patients and the community to drop off nonperishable food to be delivered to these institutions

2: See ifs there is a local professional, high school or college sport celebrity that can be at an event for these drives within your office. Be sure to promote this within your office as well as local media, print, digital, radio and television. Depending on the size of your community, local events are always sort after by these venues.

3: Time now for weekly in-office patient orientations with patients bringing guests. The extra excitement this time of year is always welcomed. The theme may be Avoid Stress This Time of Year or Health and Wellness into 2026 and just give a talk. Obviously, if your office does not have the capacity to entertain a number of people, reach out to your local churches to see if they have regular wellness programs that you can be a guest speaker. If you are in a rural area, this can be a goldmine of new patients and community awareness

4: Make the office festive for the season. Display your enthusiasm for chiropractic and wellness. If you desire more children patients than discuss this. If you want more sport oriented patients than discuss this with your patients and if you desire more PI patients, start snail mailing them or use social media or e-mails to thank the PI attorney community for their assisting the patients they referred to you, even if they didn't, and offer your expertise to their clients in 2026

If you need some ideas to share with your staff, I recommend purchasing my Holiday and Seasonal Promotions Powerpoint presentation. I presented this class a number of times during chiropractic weekend seminars. Schedule a staff meeting and either show the slides or print them and discuss the ideas as well as relegate a staff member to implement them. You can spend hours on one slide alone. The fee is $60 and will be uploaded to you. I will also be available to answer any questions. Reply to: joel3639@aol.com and I will guide you towards payment.

Happy Holidays
