Stop Complacency in the Bud

Complacency results from a stale office with no flow of active or new patients. Likewise, a complacent office may also result from chronic staff ambivalence with the doctor looking the other way. In other words, status quo is acceptable rather than reaching for more with an office on fire or at least anxious for more

I'm sure you experienced being in the presence of energetic people which just lights up the room as well as being in the presence of a downtrodden individual that seems to drag you down. Well. patients sense this as well. If your office lacks energy with routine being too routine with staff just going with the flow and a doctor buying into this., trust me, if it hasn't happened yet, your office will be dragged down as well

Complacency literally will create inter-office turmoil if one staff member works at their reduced potential finding others managing more. If this is the norm rather than the exception expect subtle then overt animosity and practice norms being an exception. Slow creep towards practice problems. Solution is timely staff meetings, gauge staff interactions, present goals and see who is ambivalent and either have a serious sit down and re=educate them or show them the door.

Doctor, time to step up and decide if you are happy with the status quo or you feel there can be more or at least a happy and healthy flow of the office rather that mini crises and always putting out fires. This will require you to be serious about the level of your office growth, what roadblocks are before you, and how you will need to leave your comfort zone to reach your practice potential. Can you do this?

POSTING
Practice for Sale in Philadelphia, PA:
Retiring chiropractor is selling his fully equipped office with an established patient base. Reply to: torresdale6808@outlook.com (7 exam rooms approximately 1800 sq ft) is available for transition to a new doctor. It’s a turnkey setup with immediate patient flow and low overhead, that will dramatically reduce the practice start-up costs. My planned retirement will be the Summer of 2026. There are several options open that include but not limited to office space rental only, building sale or a lease purchase. The building sale would also include two (2) sources of passive income. There is a warehouse (~2000 ft2) in the rear that is currently rented to a contractor for his business and a three (3) bedroom second floor apartment (~1350 ft2) that is currently rented to a long-term tenant. The LoopNet link below has information about the practice. If including in the newsletter is possible, I would greatly appreciate it. If you need any additional information, please let me know. Thanks again. Click here for description
