 Hate to date myself but when I was just a young pup social media was just a thought and a long one from that. Hal the computer from the 1968 movie 2001 Space Odessey seemed farfetched but with AI all the rave and concern today, it's not. We have had years of social media with influencers racking in thousands of followers and money and companies stressing their brand to increase sales and awareness. So, either you get on the train or the train will leave you behind. As with all endeavors, we have lofty goals and usually start with plans to go big but without someone accountable to see it through the germination of the idea just dies on the vine. This is often true with websites that haven't been updated or used for timely patient and community awareness or Facebook and like online media.  If you have a savvy staff member up to speed on social media, have them explore your community and determine active sites that may post your office information and events and be sure to both follow and join the groups as well. As mentioned in previous e-mails, using Facebook or Google as an example, having your office website or Facebook page link to other Health and Wellness dedicated sites encourages patients, their family and friends to visit often and follow and join them, which advances your website ranking higher on the cloud hierarchy providing more exposure. Many firms and doctors pay for this exposure and greet people searching for chiropractors within your area. Again, the purpose of social media is to meet and greet socially.  As far as Facebook, besides individual Facebook groups there are many Health and Wellness groups within your community that you should follow, join and regularly post your office information. Some site administrators may get suspicious if you continually solicit business so provide useful health and wellness tips that all can use and a link them to your office.  An example within your community, you may find a number of women's Facebook groups, others dedicated to sports and a variety of work and social related issues. Use the search link on Facebook and type in your city and see what comes up. Plan to add content to these specific Facebook pages on a regular basis. The more your office is viewed the more potential new patients will make the call to your office. There is so much more to explore but little space here to do it. Just remember that your competition down the road may already be extending greetings throughout the community using various social media venues.                                                    So Get Going  ..
