Thanks For Chiropractic   Time again to give thanks. The list is long within our personal, professional and social life.   Considering our divided country, how the pandemic took our body and soul and how a number of our colleagues are still attempting to right their ship, so reflecting on the positives in life is always best. Friends, I am here to thank you for taking time to open and read these e-mails, posting items or an office for sale or an e-mail questions or concern. Since 1999 these e-mails have arrived weekly probably the longest standing chiropractic blog in our profession.   I am thankful for chiropractic.   My first adjustment was in 1972 with David Singer, DC in his New Jersey office. He was just getting started and he was a marketing genius way back when. On the wall he had a map of the world and there were pins placed in various states and worldwide. Chiropractic was new to me and I learned about it by watching a slide presentation with children narrating and explaining each slide with a click on a glass alerting me to move to the next one. Ingenious. He also recommended I purchase supplements from a local health food store and gave me a paper to hand to them, networking 101. I am thankful to David for my first adjustment, giving me guidance towards thinking of a career change and later being a mentor taking advantage of his knowledge and seminars.   I am thankful to Tedd Koren, DC. Tedd stimulated my leap from a career as a professional orchestral musician to chiropractic after he responded to my inquiry about chiropractic school. With a leap of faith, I traveled from Brooklyn to Spartanburg, SC stayed with him until settled and he helped me navigate the newness that natural alternative healthcare with chiropractic brought. He also had a byline in the school paper and offered me an opportunity to add my two cents that brought me to the writing I continue today   I am also thankful to the mentor doctors that allowed me to reach the level of success I hold today and keeping me motivated through the trials and tribulations of insurance, patient, staff and patient management. Drs. Reggie and Irene Gold, Joe Fleisia and Guy Riekeman who were instrumental in developing the philosophy I still carry today and Dr. Sid Williams who handed me my diploma and set in motion the confidence to make it as a professional. Also, Dr. Pete Fernandez who had enough confidence to allow me to share with his doctors during his seminars.   So, take a few moments down memory lane and pause to consider those you need to thank that brought you to today.   I thank you   Have A Great Day   Joel E.
