Message this week  .. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda
Last week while speaking with a patient she mentioned “I used to do this and I used to do that”. Wow, great time for a message about living in the world of “I Used To” or Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda
How often have these thoughts come to mind, whether forgetting, being lazy or just tired of an old routine what you know you should be doing you don’t. Being in the people business, attempting to breakthrough the shoulda and woulda patient's suffer from is a challenge.
Most patients are treated due to some form of pain whether chronic or new, either way, they are looking for relief. Chiropractic care is geared for this as our role is to seek balance, reduce pressure to spinal nerves, provide mobility to ligaments and muscles and reduce the neurological stress that affects back pain. If you woulda stretched more, woulda eaten for the health of it, woulda worried less, woulda thought before picking up something way too heavy, woulda chilled more rather than stewed in negativity, woulda drove defensively rather than being vulnerable to an auto collision and woulda scheduled your chiropractic care on a timely proactive monthly maintenance basis woulda been best, I know, you shoulda and if you woulda possibly you coulda not been in the pickle you are or were in.
Friends, let’s get serious, what shoulda you have done?
As it relates to your health shoulda, woulda and coulda doesn’t cut it since your life literally depends on action rather than inaction and being proactive towards your health is most important.
Motion is key to life from muscles of your heart, nerve action from the brain to joint mobility keeping yourself mobile and agile while keeping yourself young, healthy and well.
As we age, we expect to be physically limited to some degree as our structure adapts to the ravages of time. Limited thinking and just giving in is not a solution but a safe place to hide while the inevitable continues. We all age as the alternative is not good but as we age, we need to continue being proactive, monitor our level of energy and the level of nutrition we provide as well as the amount of garbage thinking we agree to maintain. Friends, numerous deep thinkers have written books, created seminars and have on-line blogs that motivate us but we need to agree to follow their lead to regain and maintain wellness.
So as we  put on a few extra pounds, find our energy levels less and fall prey to negativity it is crucial we seek solutions before our body loses its way and symptoms occur. Chronic health issues are usually preventable or manageable and therefore you will rely less on crisis management instead controlled with lifestyle.
