Consider an office that has much room to grow but due of poor practice and patient management a controlled and serene day becomes hectic. There is no room for more havoc allowing a half full office to react at full capacity.    This is especially true with marketing programs. Half fulfilled programs with spotty results are stuffed in the closet so full of other half attempted programs that opening the door again may be dangerous. Marketing capacity has been met leaving a sour taste with no further attempts to grow.   If patient scheduling leaves enough time to run to Starbucks between each patient adjustment, the day will become extremely long and tiring since growth was stifled at the front desk. Try having a Pack Them In Day, one day where you schedule many patients during a short period of time. This may be a challenge during covid-19 so be safe and compliant. But, you get the idea, breakthrough your barriers. Without compromising quality care, see if you and your staff level of physical capacity can be extended. Probably there is too much mouth and less ears, eyes and hands creating excessive time best used for other practice enhancing programs.   The key to time management is simple, squeezing the most out of the least. Our time in the office is precious and should be managed by mission and goals. Each component has a job to fulfill allowing the whole to function at its peak. Is this your office? Have you analyzed each component of patient interaction determining if time is well spent, providing within their short visit their best adjustment, education and referral concepts.   There may be wasted words and pleading for these patient referrals and nudging them to follow their schedules resulting from just that, pleading and wasting words. Here again is a capacity issue, what, when and how you tell the story.  Are your words with compassion but forceful enough to get the message across or are they weak because you wish to please rather than telling it like it is. Time is not only money but in the case of patient and practice management a means to free the imprisoned potential of those you meet and are fortunate enough to care for. Those you see is a meager number, those you can also see is much more.   Check your watch and extend your capacity today   You can always unsubscribe at the bottom of this e-mail    Joel E.
