Makes sense.  Well, how about your new, existing patients as well as your community. They also want to know .. why they need your care   When we graduated we knew so much about body mechanics, functional wear and tear and how each cycle of life has potential peril. But since practicing our chiropractic art, we often keep our extensive knowledge within rather than sharing with those that need to know. We know how a body reacts to the progression of spinal degeneration, its reactive response, the toll aging takes and without  knowledge how their lack of exercise, nutrition and emotional instability tears them down.    Doctor, whether your report of findings is in written form, knee to knee or in a classroom setting have you been telling the chiropractic story. Have you showed the stages of spinal degeneration, the reality of wear and tear within their specific cycle of life and if x-rays were taken how their structural instability creates both functional and sensory disability. During the touch and tell within each visit, besides asking about their aches and pains pull out from your Brofman's zones knowledge to back up your rationale for care and why repetition and momentum is crucial to stabilize and maintain their spinal health. No need to sell just be honest and piece together the mosaic that is Health and Wellness and how chiropractic plays a marvelous role.   Every community has unlimited new patients like plucking fruit from a tree. Schools are stocked with students, teachers, sports facilities, PTA meetings and the like.  Municipal buildings are loaded with clerical employees sitting before computers with repetitive activity as well as physical and emotional wear and tear. First responders always are stressed to the gills and would benefit with conservative chiropractic care if they only knew. Warehouses have material handlers using improper body mechanics just waiting for someone to show them the way. Every house of worship has weekly clubs and groups looking for speakers as well as access to wholesome care for their parishioners. I can go on and on and on and by the way, I told the story for years using Powerpoint presentations while meeting and greeting my community as well as weekly in-office workshops for patients and their guests   Follow the lead of the doctors that offer packaged programs with a set fee. These doctors may be trained to sell the program but in reality they create awareness and purpose and seek to meet their potential patient where it hurts, not within their wallet, but within their inner soul searching for a way to be well.
