Have you ever closed your eyes to visualize a proactive concept or two? If not, take a minute to close your eyes and visualize activities you created to promote your practice, increase staff awareness, patient compliance, increase your technical prowess so you can benefit from the financial windfall that will follow. What have you been doing this past week or month to generate new patients or keep those within the system maintain their spinal health. Is your visual canvas blank creating guilt because your practice survives day to day.

 

If you had all your ducks in a row you probably have a full plate of action steps in place so visualize a bit deeper and see if you can bullet point each win. Can you walk through new patient steps from the initial phone call, consultation and examination and determine if they got the message, followed through with your planned treatment schedule and began the process of referring. Patient education and awareness is the ticket toward success.

 

There is no lack of new patients just a lack of drawing them in. The occupants within every car driving by your office, every person walking past you in the street need chiropractic care or knows three others that do. Every church you pass on the way to work and every school has members, teachers, maintenance and administrative staff that need your help and they too know four others that do as well. Every large and small business has employees and customers that have health and wellness concerns with little to no knowledge of your gifted hands and guess what, they know another six friends and family members that do as well.

 

Doctor, enough about the economy and how it has affected your business. If you have done fantastic be pleased and share your wealth of ideas with the rest of us. If you have floundered and find that you spend more time making excuses then it is time to get to work.
