A few more weeks before the national elections. With such a polarized country, it is no wonder that television commercials are reaping a windfall for the stations but creating more a divide within the electorate. This is not the place to disclose my preference either donkey or elephant but to express my opinion that all candidates have been doing their due diligence to be elected. In preparation for their debates to impress us with their direction, both are traveling on a different path. It is us, the voters that must digest the “gibberish from truth” and pull the lever for the candidate we feel will be our best advocate and representative.

So, how does this relate to chiropractic …

Doctor, when was the last time you prepared to meet your audience; patients and public and literally took time to create a presentation, wrote cue cards or studied your written script. I would suspect only a few hands went up. Most doctors graduate, wait for their phones to ring and feel dejected when their practice doesn’t sky rocket towards success as quick as they like. Pigeonholing yourself with plans, goals and action steps assures movement in the direction you lead. Having confidence with your skills is a blessing but not having people partake results in frustration and becomes a curse.

In my mind, there is no debate that every soul you meet or pass would not benefit from a clear nervous system, structural integrity and mental clarity finding your great adjustments reducing the interference towards their increased health and wellness. There is no debate that your years of schooling, post graduate classes and hanging around the hallways with an open ear didn’t prepare you to reach out a touch someone, no, everyone. There is no debate that chiropractic has a huge role plugging an enormous hole of community ignorance of Health and Wellness being inundated with the sickness and disease concepts they know most of their life.

Further, there is no debate that with some preparation towards consolidating your thoughts, targeting your audience and telling the chiropractic story will clear a path towards your office changing someone’s life forever.

Get some popcorn, huddle with others and enjoy the debates, we will survive as a nation either way but others truly depend on your debate preparation to turn their lives around
