| From: Dr. Margolies.. 2-24-23 www.familychirocenter.net   Please forward this to your chiropractic colleagues     E-mail Message This Week .. Simple and Smart   I was replying back to another chiropractor asking my advice about her practice slump. She started her practice three years ago with lofty goals but no real plan to reach it. She had enough cash to fill her office with stuff but little left to promote it. She hired weak staff with little incentive to increase chiropractic awareness and promote from within with the office quickly slipping into the quick sand of complacency and she with emotional depression. Granted with the stress of covid it didn't make things easier but as they say it is what it is, and you have to work with it.   Stress begets more stress dragging you down further. The successful amongst us make their life simpler by planning, affirming and acting not reacting. So, my advice was simple as well, begin by analysis and review.    Her practice was solvent, ready to turn around with slow but positive steps towards reaching each goal with action steps and strong purpose. No space here to include my specific advice but suffice to say we all need to simplify and plan for a strong 2023 planning to assist our patients and community with the goal to provide the best care possible and educate them to educate others the wonders of chiropractic.   We need to streamline our office, get rid of redundancy and any blocks that keep us down and may possibly be keeping patients out. We need to see that every staff member is up and running with their role secure and knowledge at its peak. If not, and retraining is futile, downsize and rehire. We need to review office and patient paperwork.  A streamlined office works by momentum not ebb and another ebb without the flow. Excess work slows production and creates staff stress that patients pick up.   Doctor, the adage of KISS for us is Keep It Simple and Smart. Relax, extend your patient and community educational programs and provide an ultimate service for everyone having them sense your urgency to help. No one reading this e-mail should have a practice on the edge of failure. There are too many folks needing our care and too many folks having little idea why. Get out and spread the word, there are ways to make this happen and once implemented from within the practice or throughout the community, your practice will grow.   If you need direction reach out to me, my humble advice is available just by asking. Can’t promise the best advice or if it will turn things around but just the action step of asking starts the engine for change.   Doctor, Time To Keep It Simple and Smart   BY THE WAY:     |
