| From: Dr. Margolies.. 5-26-23 www.familychirocenter.net   My Message  .. Memorial Day
Memorial Day commemorates the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in our armed forces. As a veteran, I am proud of the years I served both here and abroad, but I never forget that I left whole able to start a family, raise three children and marvel at my five grandchildren while others were not offered that opportunity. Please take a moment, especially if you know a person or family grieving their loss to say a prayer, make a call or just take a moment during this day to realize that others gave their life so we can live in peace today. Before you take advantage of the Memorial Day sales, feast on the weekend cookouts or travel here and there take a peek at one or all of the links below. The storied history of the Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, known as “The Old Guard.” There has been a sentinel on duty in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier every minute of every day since 1937. Learn more about this heroic story. With all the trials and tribulations, the discord over politics and the news unfit to print, we still remain the shining light on the hill, the nation that people sacrifice to get to and never forget this. Strive to participate in the civil debate, get involved in the solutions and allow unsettling opinions to settle in for there are those that gave their life for this. Remember Them This Memorial Day    I recommend watching the movie Taking Chance which may be available on Amazon, HBO and Hulu. This is a very respectful movie how the military transfers those that lost their life back for their final journey home.  I leave you with Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. So many versions and so many performers. Nothing like the songwriter himself. Here is a youtube performance by Leonard Cohen live in London:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrLk4vdY28Q
