This is especially true in this covid world. Besides a marketing vehicle that drives in new patients, a well-oiled practice maintains those already there and regains those that were left behind. Better yet, a well-oiled practice oozes with success by having a handle on patient referrals through networking and owns their community which supples them with the good news of chiropractic.   Value of corrective and maintenance care is the key word and button that needs timely pushing. A patient must see the vision you expressed when they first saw them. I don’t know about you, but with my 42 years of experience, it doesn’t take an x-ray to tell me where to adjust or an hour of consulting prior to my decision making for them to see that our goals are similar, find it, fix it, maintain it while educating them and in turn they share the good news with others. That’s my mission and I’m sticking by it.   Practice management 101 stipulates that we must demonstrate value and provide a semblance of sense to their need for repetitive care. This is where the report of findings is so crucial. Granted the first impression was during your knee to knee (distance separating for sure) consultation or before that with the phone call to your office and the exchange between them and your front desk. This first impression is stamped in their mind and should set in motion their desire to learn more. Therefore, take time to evaluate your office perception and overall staff impressions. Report of findings often include timely new patient orientations, educational booklets, written reports along with descriptions of adjusting tools and styles along with diagnostic testing units all offering educational components.  Practice today requires education and the more and easier the better. Better for you and the patient. Make it simple but powerful.   This is a crucial step toward successful practice maintenance    Have a Great Day Joel E.
