Reaching Your Community 
 Spring allows us to get out and about meeting and greeting folks in parks and community gatherings. Perfect time to consider how best to meet and greet your community as well. If your goal is to profit from your efforts then new patients, continual referrals and maintaining the flow is your ultimate quest. 
 So, if you wish to reach out to your community as well as promote patient referrals there is little time to waste. As I mentioned in recent e-newsletters, Spring will find folks reflecting on weight loss, increased exercise as well as improved nutrition. Is your office ready to meet their needs? 
 Spring also finds local venues creating plans for active programs such as church programs, community events and corporate health fairs. Are you ready to meet their needs? 
 I realize many doctors are satisfied with the success of their practice with little time for public relations and marketing and if this is you, great, but for the majority of doctors, more is always welcome.  
 Doctor, if you are happy with the status quo but can see room for growth although your time is limited, you may wish to hire a marketing guru and community liaison. Their position is to meet and greet your community, church program folks, clerical and material handling facilities, municipal workplaces and sport venues that have potential patients ready to visit your office. Cosmic AT&T as I wrote about earlier. By the way, auto collisions are year round, do you have an active attorney marketing program? 
 If successful, a complete calendar of events will be full. Your PR person can handle each event or you may add more punch with your attendance or at least a staff member. As structural experts it behooves us to meet the needs of the community with proactive advice and treatment for physical stress at sports, work and home.  
 Consider the number of potential patients waiting to hear from you concerning ergonomics (fitting employees to their workstation), better way to manage stress (physical, emotional, nutritional, neurological), best way to stretch and utilize exercise for spinal wellness and care for the spine through the cycle of life.
