Use Your Back Wisely
Physical and structural wear and tear is part of the aging process but can be accelerated with injuries, repetitive activities, poor ergonomics, poor spinal hygiene, inherited spinal weakness, poor posture and the lack of spinal management with chiropractic care. Let’s Review: Repetitive Strain Injuries:
Auto, Sport, Work and/or Slip and Fall Injuries are the most common. Often injuries produce little pain and if there is no blood, no broken bones just a bruise here and there most folks consider this just an injury to their pride not the body. But consider the matrix of supportive tissue that was irritated and often rendering either temporarily or permanently unstable. These include muscles that allow joint mobility as well as ligaments, like rubber bands, they hold joints together. These are rendered weaker or stiffer creating pain if close to nerves and also create mobility issues.  Ergonomics
Every profession, even a homemaker, has its risks. Repetitive movements associated with warehouse work, truck driving, painters,  teachers, nurses, these and practically all professions add to the rate of lower and upper back injury statistics.  Doing laundry, lifting something from the floor and general housework must be done safely and not add to chronic wear and tear.    Spinal Weakness
We often inherit spinal weakness such as a curvature (scoliosis), joint and structural functional instability   There is not much you can do but manage it. Auto immune conditions inflame the problem and if not managed correctly just fester and worsen. So what can you do, well, view some of the links above and educate yourself.
Stretch and exercise and move daily, determine best supplements to add to the proper non-inflammatory diet you can do, maintain normal weight and best include chiropractic care to maintain spinal balance, increase joint mobility and monitor and negative changes.
I can go on but suffice to say that using your back wisely is the key to better health, posture and how best to avoid and manage degenerative joints disease such as arthritis and chronic pain
