DC is looking for a gently used Atlas Orthogonal Table .. Chiropractic Care and Spine Medicine Journal   E-mail message this week ..Bluetooth Effect   I just spent time attempting to connect my bluetooth device to my cell phone.  For those technically impaired, a blue tooth is the obnoxious earpiece that dangles across the outline of one’s head, in the ear or around the neck and outlines a light blue tinge when activated. I hate when a patient walks into the adjusting room with one in their ear, I always ask them to take it off. Besides the obvious reasons, it seems very unsettling when private conversations are displayed in a public setting. So, how does this relate to chiropractic, well here goes.   If you think about it, what did we do without cell phones and instant access to others? As long as there are towers sending and receiving signals and you have enough bars to make and receive calls you are connected. From state to state and even country to country, we are never too far from those we have to reach. So, it would seem appropriate to have some technical link between your master phone and the accompanying bluetooth device. This is also true between you and your community. You have the location, equipment, staff and knowledge to connect your community to chiropractic and all the advantages it offers. They drive by your office, read your sign, read your twitter message or visited your facebook page and some have heard from others about the wonders of chiropractic but to assist them and your bottom line, somehow they must connect with you. As with my dilemma between my phone (office) to the Bluetooth (community) the problem was connectivity.   Doctor, are you connected or better have you stayed connected during this pandemic. I closed my office for two months but stayed in touch with weekly e-mails to my patients and community, reaching over 2000 people with tips to avoid covid and continue with weekly e-mails with various health oriented links besides my message. I continue to receive thanks that they were not forgotten during these trying times. I also called patients to see how they were doing and if they had any concerns. I connected.    For some doctors, connectivity has never been a problem. Now that our country is slowly opening up, we should renew our efforts to stretch our marketing legs. Consider networking businesses, attend community meetings, get involved in charity drives, participate with outreach and fraternal and church programs spreading the good news of  alternative healing with chiropractic. Doctors that connect with their patients find they will willingly spread the chiropractic story with friends, family and co-workers. Doctors that connect with corporate leaders often find that they appreciate the conservative nature of structural care and feel that connecting with their employees keeps their work force active and productive. These doctors also reach beyond their comfort zone and connect with their medical counterparts sharing many patients as well as connect with other community professionals from attorneys to zookeepers outlining their special needs and your special talents.   Doctor, pull out the manual you were given at graduation, the one that walks you through a successful career. Oh, you never got one, well, now is the time to create your own owner’s manual and clearly make your office a beacon for others to seek.   A successful practice is trial and error, hopefully the trial is limited but remember the trail is vast. Enjoy the journey   If you would like to receive my weekly patient e-mail, reply back with your office information, webpage etc and I will add your e-mail address to the list   Thanks for the many feedback e-mails concerning my weekly messages. I always appreciate feedback, even if a quick “ thanks.”   Have a Great Day   Dr. M         Have A Great Day   Joel E.
