E-mail message this week .. Planting Seeds

As we hopefully look the pandemic in the rearview mirror, we now need to organize thoughts and management skills to either jumpstart a new beginning or leap further with the fortunes we have. I realize that many amongst us have been thriving this past year even while others have seen their practice and finances wither. So, I look upon this summer, June through September, as a rightful time bringing us new opportunities to plant new seeds for practice growth. But, if you are not careful to water, support and maintain its growth, failure will follow. The choice is up to you, will you support another idea or let it wither on the vine.

Doctor, 2021 can be your best year even with the remnants of 2020. Slow methodical action steps are going to be the foundation for your growth.  Strong adherence to simple management protocols such as keeping statistics of practice movement like new patients, services, collections, missed appointments will allow you to tweak or reorganize. Patient management programs such as reactivation, referrals, education and extended services will add to volume, keep patient’s active and provide referrals while increasing your bottom line. As your community opens us, be prepared with public relations and marketing programs such as community classes, spinal screenings, involvement in special events keeping your name within their mind and the place to go for chiropractic care. But without follow through, accountability and close adherence to basic business sense it will all fizzle before it pops.

So, let’s get going this Summer. The simple project for this week is to dedicate a staff member to gather names and contact information for patients that have not been in this past year due to covid concerns or whatever. Invite them back during these months. Second, if you haven’t already gather e-mail addresses of all patients. Have your front desk CA ask for this information and create an address book within your e-mail program for sending timely newsletters. Also create specific target address books for those involved in various professions, such as labor, clerical, sports, teachers and the names of administrators to use while targeting ergonomic and safety e-mails. The list goes on an on.

The game is gathering data, organizing target areas to explore, prepare to meet and greet and train your support team to deliver. As a member of the healthcare community, as a chiropractor, you like I, have seen the miracles an adjustment provides. Yes, play the game of practice growth but friends, it is not a game. Our community depends on us, let's be there for them

Planting seeds is one thing, helping it grow is another
