E-mail message this week .. Be All That You Could Be

This is the recruiting slogan for the US Army. As a veteran myself, my three years in helped me mature and after a stint overseas it opened my eyes to a wider world realizing that I could be more than I could be.  So, doctors, are you all that you could be?

Writing these weekly e-mails is my way of listening to that wee voice within and writing out my thoughts. You have free access pass to my concerns, thoughts and solutions. Granted, for the over 4500 chiropractors in 35 countries receiving these weekly e-mails some delete prior to reading, some, like yourself, read the message while others skim through the postings and if the topic seems of interest, read on. Nonetheless, if you read this far, the question still remains, are you all that you could be.

Look around your office, is this what you envisioned when you were a student and after graduation. Were you destined to be an associate, independent contractor, owner of a solo or multi-doctor practice and are you satisfied with the outcome or are you just getting by. No critique here, just some deep thinking of the trials and tribulations you have been through.

I look back with few regrets. My mistakes were never costly and decisions rendered could have been wiser but I have had fun along the way. In the world of healthcare, guidance is paramount and coaching is often crucial. The lone doctor attempting to maneuver around the minefield of practice without some assistance or moral support may be the lone wolf for sure. Many have made a go of it and were successful while others floundered. Chiropractic college is just a way station prior to the real world managing patients, staff and the nuances of insurance or creating cash plans. As a chiropractor, to be all that you could be, you must pay your dues by joining like minded doctors increasing your technical and managerial skills. We need each other as partners in health and wellness asking and receiving advice and guidance.

Doctor, give this thought as our professional and personal goals should be the same to prosper and grow. We need to look at each other not as a competitor but as a colleague. So, be available to your colleagues, especially the new doctors and help those with questions especially if you are involved in district and state associations.

Sharing is Caring

So again I ask, Have You Been All You Can Be

Have A Great Day
