Chiropractic in this Zoom Era
When weekend seminars were available prior to covid and doctors would meet and listen to the wise words of successful doctors and vendors providing guidance how best to get their practice up to speed, remain ahead of the game or literally jump start a new or failing practice it was an opportunity to share and learn. Although the speakers were eager to share their wisdom on stage often more was learned in the hallways or around lunch or dinner. Practical real life experience supersedes the spoken word and here is where real sharing occurs. I bet you know what I mean.
In our pandemic world, sheltering at home was initially a reality and being creative with zoom became an overnight success. With flying a scare and hotels limiting rooms many are not venturing out so seminars have been virtual. Last week via zoom I was part of my cousin’s party. In the past, if I didn’t personally visit someone, I just needn’t see them. With zoom party, I was connected to cousins I haven’t seen or spoken to in years and their kids I never met. Think of the great doctors reading this today with practical answers to many of your questions. How about practical use of equipment or rehabilitation that can be reviewed and explored doctor to doctor on zoom, facetime or the like. Communicating with your patients and community is crucial to grow your practice and getting out of your comfort zone and/or providing you the tools to tell the chiropractic story can easily learned via zoom. In other words, practice management has literally become easier via these new learning tools. How many of you would benefit or better yet offer time to assist others?
Like you, I get e-mails concerning virtual seminars with doctors offering their knowledge, take advantage of this. Better yet, turn to doctors you respect, vendors offering the tools to help your patients more and reach out to them and see if they will offer zoom programs or one on one assistance. There are many free webinars as well. Call your nutrition or rehabilitation representatives and see what they offer. Practice management starts with you asking then implementing. Practice management is a web of knowledge pieced together providing a seamless practice.
Covid-19 may be revving up again so while you seclude yourself in your inner bunker, reach out via the internet
